Instructions to Allow Ninjaone Access to Macs Upon Installation

Published: Apr 24, 2026

It’s a straightforward installation of NinjaOne1 on a Windows box. On a Mac though, there are three permissions to enable. Here’s the permissions and the steps you can use to tell your client to follow so you get full access.2

The three permissions are: Screen Recording, Accessbility, Full Disk Access and they’re all under System Settings –> Privacy and Security.
  1. Click on the Apple logo on top left –> System Settings –> Privacy & Security –>Full Disk Access –> turn on ’ncstreamer’ and ’ninjarmm-macagent'.
  2. Come back to Privacy & Security and then go to Accessibility –> turn on ’ncstreamer'.
  3. Come back to Privacy & Security and then go to Screen & System Audio Recording –> turn on ’ncstreamer’. And done!

Notes

The changes above require inputting mac user password. The Settings app will want to quit and reopen. It’s okay to do that while trying to connect.
