Here’s what was happening to a Surface computer. You boot it up and it asks for BitLocker keys. You input the correct BitLocker keys, and then it asks for them again.
How it was resolved:
The first time, you enter the BitLocker keys and it asks for them again. This time, press Fn+F11 and go to Troubleshooting → Advanced → Boot into Command Prompt. It will ask for the BitLocker keys again. When you reach the prompt, assuming your installation is on C:, enter:
bcdboot C:\WindowsThen reboot.
Upon reboot, enter the BitLocker keys and let the machine load into Windows. After logging in, turn off BitLocker, update the machine, reboot several times, and then turn BitLocker on again.
Notes: #
- Safe mode didn’t work.
- Startup recovery didn’t work either.
